Analysis of Seven, Shutter Island and Cape Fear.

In small groups we analysed 3 films: Shutter Island, Seven and Cape Fear. We wrote about areas of Mise-en-scene such as lighting, props, make up, costumes, characters facial expressions. We also wrote about sound, the use of non-diagetic and diegetic sound, camera angles and how they were used to create tension and show character emotion. Another area we looked at was editing and the four different types of editing such as Temporal, Graphic, Rhythmic and Spatial. We then got into groups and filmed our discussion of all of us analysing and talking about all the different areas and how the films had comparisons and contrasts.
